Ths month's E-Book of the Month is my personal favorite,
THE WHITE LORD OF WELLESBOURNE

This
is such a great tale. I just love it. Matthew Wellesbourne is my personal favorite as far as heroes go - he's pretty
much the perfect man without being cheesy or unreasonable or too good to believe. He's human, he's fallible, but he's
willing to at least learn from his mistakes. Not many people are willing to do that, and especially not Medieval men.
Most of the other heroes I write about believe they walk on water. Matthew knows he does, because he, well, does. He
is, after all, the White Lord. So read on....
Matthew has this massive, fantastic reputation. As one of the premier knights for Richard III, he has
earned a great and powerful name for himself fighting Richard's wars. He's big, blond, and masculinely beautiful. He
has also been betrothed for ten years to the Lady Alixandrea Terrington St. Ave. She's about 10 years younger than he is so
the past 10 years have been spent waiting for her to come of age, at least on Alixandrea's part. Matthew has been spending
the past 10 years sowing his wild oats, earning his great reputation, and just generally loathing the idea that he will eventually
be wed. He's put it off several times until he cannot put it off any longer.
Alixandrea travels from York to Wellesbourne near Warwick
to marry her groom. Exhausted from travel, she pauses at a tavern just outside of the town of Wellesbourne so that she
can refresh herself. Who should she come across but Matthew, getting drunk because he's upset that his bride is finally arriving.
But the moment she enters the tavern, the tables turn on Matthew - he meets a woman who is nothing as he had expected. She's
beautiful, intelligent, and pissed off that he has put the marriage off for so long. Matthew, being benevolent and kind
by nature - in complete contrast with his war-mode personality - seeks to ease the situation and realizes he's been an idiot
for putting the marriage off for so long. He is suddenly very eager to marry this luscious, intriguing creature, but
it takes Alixandrea awhile to warm up to him. She still hasn't forgiven him for having put off the marriage for so long.
But eventually, the two of them began to warm to each other and the passion mounts.
Unbeknownst to Matthew, his family, or even
Alixandrea, Alixandrea's uncle - Howard Terrington, the broker of the marriage - is secretly a supporter of Henry Tudor, who
wants Richard's throne. The marriage has been a master plan in the making - planting Alixandrea, and 400 soldiers as
part of her dowry - in the heart of Wellesbourne and, consequently, the heart of Richard's support. On a pre-arranged
signal, the sleeper army is supposed to erupt, kill Matthew, and confiscate Wellesbourne Castle in the name of Henry Tudor.
The plot is discovered but its only one in a long line of problems that Matthew and Alixandrea must face. Their early
marriage is filled with injury, illness, deception and politics, but through it all, Matthew and Alixandrea fall deeply and
hopelessly in love. They truly have a strong, strong bond that defies politics, country and king.
Matthew is sworn, however, to the king and
when Richard and Henry's armies gather at Bosworth Field on that early August morning in 1485 A.D., Matthew must be there.
The battle between Richard and Henry commence and when it is over, England has a new king. Matthew does not immediately return
home and Alixandrea cannot get confirmation if he survived the battle. Can their love overcome death and betrayal?
Read the book and find out. I promise you will LOVE it.
