These are some of my contemporary romance novels;
most of them are from the Kathlyn Trent/Marcus Burton Series. I don't write many contemporaries, but the ones I
do write are my most popular novels. Hmmm.... maybe I should take a clue there. Anyway, chapter samples will be coming
soon, so pick the ones you would like to read and keep checking back for the added chapter links.
My recommendations?
Canyon of the Sphinx is the most popular book of the series, followed by The Eden Factor. Valley of the Shadows is awesome,
too. Start with Valley of the Shadows and let yourself fall in love with Kathlyn and Marcus.

Dr.
Kathlyn Trent has made a name for herself as a Media Archaeologist. Beautiful, intelligent and educated, she is one
of the most famous faces in the world. Her television specials bring millions of viewers as she tackles subjects that most
credible archaeologists won’t touch. But beneath the flash and hype, she has a true gift of science and knowledge. Being
called in to assist the floundering dig of one of the world's top Egyptologists, Kathlyn
is met with animosity from Dr. Marcus Burton. Tall, dark and ruggedly gorgeous, he has no desire to attract the attention
she brings. But the excitement they share as they explore long-lost pharaoh’s tomb destroys the animosity in favor of
an emotional bond that cannot be broken. Elements of intrigue endanger their lives and create chaos amidst
their blooming romance. The situation soon explodes in a running gun battle amongst the ruins of ancient Egyptian temples
and it will take all of Kathlyn’s and Marcus’ strength to keep each other alive.
The Eden Factor World-famous media archaeologist Dr. Kathlyn Trent and her husband,
Dr. Marcus Burton, are off on another enigmatic quest. Reports of the discovery of angel bones have come from the ancient
land of Iraq and Kathlyn and Marcus take their archaeological teams into this mysterious realm to investigate. Hindering their
progress is a former colleague of Kathlyn's; also hearing of the discovery, Dr. Fayd Fahdlan will stop at nothing to usurp
Kathlyn's claim. As Kathlyn and Marcus fall under the spell of the strange bones, Fayd and his superiors see spectacular
and bizarre scientific opportunities for Dr. Trent's find. When Kathlyn is kidnapped in an attempt to force her to participate
in their macabre scheme, the ancient bones suddenly take a back seat to a related discovery of even greater magnitude. Biblical
theories that were once thought only myth have suddenly become reality. The Vatican and the United States military soon become
involved and the stakes grow even higher. Kathlyn, Marcus and the rest of the archaeologists find themselves caught up in
something so fantastic that it is difficult to know just where the legends end and the volatile realities begin. |
Canyon
of the Sphinx A city that disappeared over-night.
Sphinxes in the jungles of the Yucatan. An overgrown Mesoamerican temple with ancient Chinese script chiseled into the stone.
All of these elements come together in the greatest adventure yet for Dr. Kathlyn Trent and her husband, world-class Egyptologist
Dr. Marcus Burton. In her latest assignment, Kathlyn goes to the Yucatan to assist in a growing mystery; Dr. Christopher Murphy,
one of the top minds in Mesoamerican studies, has something of an enigma on his hands. Strange legends and rumors of sphinxes
in the jungle create a puzzle that is as deadly as it is baffling. As Kathlyn is pulled deep into the legends and truths of
the Yucatan, there are external forces back at home that would see her come to ruin. Kathlyn soon finds herself fighting for
her life, both professionally and personally. With her husband’s help, she is able to overcome the web of complications
at home and is once again lured back to Dr. Murphy’s jungle dig to help solve the great mystery… why did the
lost city of La Tierra Dorada de los Jaguares vanish in a single, horrible night? What do the mysterious Chinese inscriptions
have to do with it? Why does Kathlyn keep having visions of murder and blood? Only Kathlyn and Marcus can decipher the intricate
mystery before time runs out. |
House of Eternal Horizons Tucked away in a Turkish monastery located
along the Pilgrim trail that the Crusaders once traveled on their quest to the Holy Land, a blasphemous ancient manuscript
is discovered hidden deep in the archive. Gideon Graves, a Ph.D. candidate in Biblical Archaeology, makes an astonishing discovery
while studying for his thesis. Not only does the text, written by a Sanhedrin priest named Barsabas, relay a radical
view of Jesus Christ, it also suggests that He was not the true messiah. The Barsabas Text further alludes to a scroll, written
by one of the last Judges of Israel, which reveals the ‘true child of God’. Knowing his discovery merits
more experienced minds than his own, Gideon contacts Dr. Kathlyn Trent to solicit her help in getting to the bottom of the
mysteries he has discovered. World-famous Dr. Trent and her husband, Egyptologist Marcus Burton, soon find themselves
embroiled in perhaps their most powerful adventure yet. Trails of clues lead to amazing discoveries, each find revealing another
clue that leads them to yet another monumental revelation. Danger is never far behind Dr. Trent and it is a constant race
against both time and opposing forces as she and Marcus piece their way towards something more astounding than they can possibly
comprehend. From the ancient lands of Israel to the barren sands of the Sahara, the evidence leads them to a magnificent
ancient Egyptian temple where the find of the ages awaits them if they can only survive the trail of deadly clues. |
